Dani

Meet Dani, who finished Black Canyons 100k recently and is now back for more! Dani is training for the Bay Area 100, a new race in the hills of the Eastern San Francisco Bay Area.

Dani’s main goal is to not lose focus after a few months when training for a big event. This isn’t an uncommon scenario, and I have fallen prey to it in my own running. I don’t think anybody can train intensely for months or years on end without having a bit of mental and physical downtime to doodaddle and do other things.

To help Dani, we will set up a plan that includes recovery weeks or periods where the goal is to expressly “lose focus” and focus on life while doing a few easy runs. Having an end date to the break when a coach checks back in and motivates a runner to begin again helps stay on track.

We can’t wait to see Dani shine come next June!!
