Our Current and former Athletes
Cora
Cora is training for the Jack and Jill Marathon, which she'll run together with teammate Caitlin come late July! Jack and Jill is Cora's second marathon! She finished her first in a monsoon-like downpour in Honolulu, and she's now back to chase some speed! I bet with a tad more sunshine and a bit of marathon-specific pace work, her wish of running the distance in a faster time is waiting for her on the horizon!
Caitlin
Welcome to the team! Caitlin is training for her first marathon, the Jack and Jill Marathon near Seattle. It's a slight downhill course on an old railroad bed and goes through a two-mile tunnel. Caitlin's goal is to finish with intention, feeling strong. That's a really commendable goal for a first marathon. We'll make sure to gradually introduce longer runs while testing different fueling options on the way.
Elizabeth
Elizabeth's knee pain is in the past! So what's next? A marathon! Elizabeth is already a speedy gazelle 💨 and would like to qualify for Boston somewhere down the road. Importantly, she'd like to do it without her knee acting back up. After being cleared by PT, we're in good shape to start training, and we'll pay specific attention to the things that could have brought this on.
Harmony
Proud of Harmony, who joined our team to return to what she loves after taking care of family for a long time. Harmony has her eyes on the Tahoe Marathon in the fall. She went through a serious accident, fracturing her leg, and is now working on strengthening her body alongside her running.
Erin
Meet Erin, who's training for the Eugene Marathon next spring! Erin and I connected via the Mikkeller Running Club Reno! After running the Broken Arrow Skyrace and the Reno-Tahoe Odyssey last year, she felt an injury coming on, and as a result, Erin thought she might not be able to run more than twenty-five miles per week.
